Educational Visits & Visitors
Please check below for the proposed educational visits and visitors across this year's learning.
To reduce the financial burden on families, we invite visitors into school as much as possible. We do include one educational visit that requires a coach and this is highlighted below to allow families to plan.
Details of each trip will be emailed out nearer the time with more detailed information along with requests for payment donation.
Autumn Term – Brighton and the Great War
Year 6 visit the University of Sussex as part of their IntoUniversity project.
They travel into Brighton to visit the Brighton Pavilion to study its changing role during the Great War. They also compare and contrast the Brighton of 1914 with that of today.
Spring Term – Blood, Bodies and Other Bits
Residential Visit
Year 6 spend two nights away at Broadstone Warren to take part in a range of outdoor and adventurous activities whilst developing their resilience, teamwork and cooperation skills.
Science Workshops
Teachers from BACA's Science department visit Y6 for series of workshops during which children deepen their knowledge about the science of blood, bones and other bits.
Summer Term – Inspirations and Aspirations
Secondary School Taster Days
Local secondary schools organise Taster Days for children starting their school in September.
