We believe that children's learning is enriched and enhanced by a variety of educational visits and visitors to the school throughout their time at Coldean Primary.
We endeavour to provide a wide-range of activities and experiences that both broaden and deepen the children's understanding of our exciting curriculum. For details of each year group's educational visits and visitors we currently have planned, please check the YEAR GROUPS pages from the drop-down menu above.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the government is currently advising that no overnight residential trips should take place.
In Years 5 and 6 children are given the opportunity to go on a 3-day/2-night residential trip. Not only do these trips offer the chance to participate in a variety of amazing outdoor and adventurous activities, they also develop the teamwork skills of cooperation, problem solving, sharing, respecting and helping each other.
Currently we offer:
- Year 5 trip to Bowles Outdoor Centre in October
- Year 6 trip in June/July: to be confirmed
Should any children be able to attend both they will experience a different range of activities.
(Funding towards these trips may be available through Brighton and Hove's Access Fund, details of which are given during the initial presentation meeting.
