Have a chat about the book with a grown up and think about these questions: 

  • Everyone is special but what is special about you? 
  • Are you tall or short? 
  • Do you have freckles? Does anybody you know have freckles?  
  • What colour hair and eyes do you have? What about the people around you? 
  • How would you describe your hair? 
  • What skin colour do you have? 
  • What activities/hobbies do you like to do? What about the people in your family and your friends? 
  • Everybody is different – talk about some of the differences between you and your friends. What is the same about you and your friends?
