Read a book on Bug Club.
English activity
Here is the chant from Superworm:
Superworm is super-long.
Superworm is super-strong.
Watch him wiggle! See him squirm!
Hip, hip, hooray for Superworm!
Choose another animal to be a superhero. Write a chant to sing about them.
Challenge: Can you make it rhyme?
Maths activity
Counting warm up – Practise counting in 2s.
Today you will be measuring and comparing capacity.
Choose some empty containers (e.g. water bottle, bowl, glass, jam jar).
Which container do you think has the greatest capacity?
Now take a small cup or a yoghurt pot and see how many scoops of water it takes to fill each container. Put the containers in order from the smallest to the greatest capacity.
Challenge question: Does the tallest container always hold the most water?
Music activity
Have a go at making music from some objects in your kitchen.
Watch the videos on BBC Bitesize and then have a go yourself.

Write your own Superworm adventure!
Think about who is in trouble and what Superworm does to help them. Remember to say your sentences before you write them down.
