Play a phonics game on Bug Club.
English activity
Think about your favourite game to play at home or at school.
Write some step by step instructions in your jotter to teach someone else how to play.
Maths activity
Counting warm up – Count up to 20 in 2s.
Recap the names of 3D shapes by watching this BBC video – The 3D Shape Song.
Next watch these video clips to find out a bit more about 3D shapes.
Then complete the White Rose Maths worksheet – Sort 3D Shapes.
Art activity
Follow instructions to draw a cartoon with Rob Biddulph. Click here to choose a drawing.

Reading and Phonics
Read a book on Bug Club.
English activity
Imagine a friendly alien has come to your home and doesn’t know how anything works. Write step by step instructions to teach them how to use something in your home.
For example, how to use a toaster, how to use a vacuum cleaner, how to use a washing machine.
Remember to write the instructions in the correct order. You should make your sentences short and clear. You could also draw pictures for each step.
Maths activity
Counting warm up – Count up to 50 in 5s.
Today you will be naming 3D shapes. First watch this video on the BBC.
Then complete this White Rose Maths worksheet – Recognise and Name 3D shapes.
You can talk about the answers or write them down in your jotter.
History activity
Learn about the life and achievements of Dr. Martin Luther King on BBC Bitesize.
Wednesday 17th June
Reading and Phonics
Read your phonics booklet for 5 minutes.
English activity
Today you will be practising following and giving instructions.
First, follow my instructions.
You will need:
A pencil
A piece of paper
- Draw a big circle at the bottom of the paper.
- Draw a smaller circle on top of the big circle.
- Draw an orange triangle in the middle of the small circle.
- Draw two blacks dots next to each other above the triangle.
- Draw two black dots one on top of the other in the middle of the big circle.
What have you drawn?
Now, give instructions for someone in your family to draw a picture.
You could use these pictures for ideas.
Maths activity
Counting warm up – Count up to 100 in tens.
Today you will learn about 3D shapes.

Then go on a 3D shape hunt around you home.

PSHE activity

Choose a science experiment to do using objects from your home.
