Look at the picture. Can you answer these questions in your jotter?
- What is the dad doing?
- Why is the girl standing behind him?
- Why is she dragging a kite on the floor?
- Has she said anything to him? Does he know she’s there?
- How is she feeling? What is she thinking?
- Do you think this has happened before? Why/why not?
- Why is the kite coloured bright red, but everything else is in dull colours?
Maths activity
Practise counting in 2s 5s and 10s
You could:
1.Throw a ball in pairs saying a number each time – start again if you drop it! How far can you count?
0,2,4,6,8... 0,5,10,15,20... 0,10,20,30,40...
2. Write the numbers down in your jotter - can you go past 100? What do you notice about the numbers you've written?
3. Challenge – can you count in threes? Can you record it in your jotter?
Topic – Design Technology
As part of our Fabulous Finish we would have been going to the woods to build dens for explorers! Can you build a den for whoever you want to get in there with you? You could think about what explorers might need in their den! Take a photograph & upload it on Purple Mash.
You can do this by: going to 2Paint, click the Clipart icon at the top and then the Import icon at the bottom, choose “Share” and then save the photo to MyWork.
We would also have been doing an explorer scavenger hunt. Can you see if you can find these items and note them down/draw them in your jotter?

Handwriting focus today! Choose 5 common exception words from the list at the front of your jotter. Remember to form letters the correct size and try to use some of the diagonal and horizontal strokes needed to join letters if you can.
Write the words out neatly 5 times in your book. Task extension – can you write a sentence for each of the words you have chosen? Try to keep your handwriting super neat!
Maths activity
It’s 3D shape revision today! Look around your house – can you find some real objects that are these shapes:
