Reading: Nothing beats sitting and sharing a book with a child! We will leave boxes of books for each year group in the main entrance of the school. Please borrow and return from there.
We have our “Reading at Home” Leaflet for ideas to help.

It was fantastic to see so many of you having a wonderful time at your teddy bear picnics; you had all put in lots of effort with your invitations, and thought really carefully about the yummy treats you would share with everyone there!
This week will be our final week of home learning and so we will be thinking about our feelings and practising some useful skills for when we return to school in September.
Explore
Listen to the story book "Feelings" read by Mrs Fagan and then have a go at the mindfulness activities on Tapestry.
Phonics
Over the summer holidays can you practice writing your name? Use the editable and printable name cards on Tapestry.
Have a go at spotting all of the summer objects and identifying their initial sounds.
Count
Have a go at the summer counting activities over on Tapestry.
Create
Can you choose one of the feelings from the story read by Mrs Fagan and create a picture? Think about the colours you will use and the objects you will include in the picture.
Move
Cosmic Kids yoga has lots of great videos for getting the kids active as well as great mindfulness and relaxation classes, a great resource to explore over the holidays!
Tapestry
Please continue to share photos and videos of your child’s learning on tapestry so that we can celebrate their achievements and give ideas on next step learning.
