Nursery
Week beginning March 23rd
We wanted to say a huge well done to all of our nursery children; we are so proud of how far they have come this year with their learning, play and the relationships they have been building.
Resources
There are a few very handy pieces of equipment that will be very useful to have at home, some paper, poster paint, kids scissors, a glue stick and colouring pens/pencils. It is also a great idea to collect magazines, newspapers and boxes for cutting and creating!
This week’s theme is Spring
Spring is time for new life and growth. Lots of baby animals are born in the spring and we begin to see new flowers and blossoms on the trees. We also have more sunlight each day so our days start to feel longer. Take a look at the spring themed slideshow with your child.
Explore
Look out for any signs of spring such as a blossom tree, baby animals or daffodils.
Phonics
Play the game I hear with my little ear! Take it in turns to imitate the sounds of something and guess what makes that sound. You could imitate the sounds of things around your house, like a clock, or a telephone, or animals such as a cat or dog.
Count
Next time you open a packet of raisins, carrot sticks or pieces of apple, can you count how many you have?
