LIVING WITH COVID-19

(This is subject to change, at any time. We will endeavour to upload the latest one as soon as possible after any changes and notify parents/carers using the Scholarpack Parent App.)

LOCAL AUTHORITY'S LATEST GUIDANCE (04.03.22)

  • Adults and children who test positive will continue to be advised to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for at least 5 full days, and then continue to follow the guidance until they have received 2 negative test results on consecutive days.
  • If both these tests results are negative, or they have completed 10 full days, they should return to their educational setting if they normally attend one, as long as they feel well enough to do so and do not have a temperature.
  • People should follow public health guidance COVID-19: people with COVID-19 and their contacts - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
  • End of routine contact tracing. Staff, children and young people should attend their education settings as usual. This includes staff who have been in close contact within their household, unless they are able to work from home.

COVID remains a risk

It is still possible to catch and spread COVID-19, even if you are fully vaccinated. If you have any of the main symptoms of COVID-19 or a positive test result, the public health advice is to stay at home and avoid contact with other people.

COVID-19 will be a feature of our lives for the foreseeable future, so we need to learn to live with it and manage the risk to ourselves and others.

All of us can play our part by understanding the situations where risks of COVID-19 infection and transmission are likely to be higher, and taking action to reduce these risks.

Following this guidance will help you to understand situations where there is a greater risk of catching or spreading COVID-19 and the steps that you can take to stay safe and protect others. Every action you can take to help reduce the spread will help reduce pressure on the NHS during the winter months."
