Educational Visits and Visitors

Please check below for the proposed educational visits and visitors across this year's learning. 

Letters for each trip will be sent out nearer the time with more detailed information along with requests for payment donation.

 

Autumn Term – Celts and Coliseums

A trip to Moulsecoomb Primary's Heritage Workshops

As part of the Stones, Bones and Ceromonies Topic, Year 3 visit Moulsecoomb Primary School, to participate in various workshops such as – ‘Archaeological excavation’, ‘Food, farming and foraging’, ‘Fire making’ and ‘Adornments’. This visit is a fantastic way for children to support their learning about early life during the Stone Age right through to the Iron Age! There are experts on hand to fully engage them in their learning.

Spring Term – Roamin' Romans

A trip to Fishbourne Roman Palace

To support the learning over the spring term, Year 3 take a visit to Fishbourne Roman palace. When there, specialist teachers run various workshops to help the children get a feel of what it was like to be a Roman.                                                                                                                                                  

Summer Term – Up the Beanstalk

A trip to Wakehurst Place

The summer term trip is to Wakehurst place. The children get to tak part on various workshops such as, ‘Amazing Seeds’ and ‘Flower Structure’.  This visit is a fantastic way for children to support their learning about nature, plants, and their life cycles! The children will have experts on hand to fully engage them in their learning.
